December 6, 2021 - Credit Union of Texas is consolidating all of its operations in Allen with the purchase of an office building.
The North Texas financial institution moved its headquarters to a new office building in Allen’s Watters Creek development in 2019.
Now the credit union is relocating its two divisions — Texas Mortgage Lending and FairLease — to an office building it has purchased at 415 Century Parkway.
The two Credit Union of Texas divisions will make their move early next year to the Century Parkway building, which is about 66,000 square feet and was built in 1997.
The latest relocation will expand the company’s workforce to almost 375 jobs in Allen.
“We have been an active member of the Allen community for the last two years by forming impactful partnerships and investing in the community we are privileged to call home,” CEO Eric Pointer said in an email. “We look forward to having our entire support organization in Allen as we continue to grow in North Texas and beyond in underserved communities in rural parts of the state.”
Credit Union of Texas’ head offices are in the One Bethany East office building, which is located just west of U.S. Highway 75. The credit union leased about 52,000 square feet in the building, which was a project of Kaizen Development Partners.
“Credit Union of Texas has been a tremendous corporate citizen, and we are thrilled to see them continue to invest in Allen,” said Dan Bowman, CEO and executive director of the Allen Economic Development Corporation. “Adding these new divisions and jobs will grow their already robust footprint and make them a leading employer in Allen.”
